Already in the first year of the academy I want to create a place where parents of deceased children can commemorate their child. (See first year: Monument - Something to hold on to) I would like to give shape to this because it has a lot of affinity with the subject because children regularly die in the pediatric ICU. I am also part of the aftercare working group in my department.
The idea is that parents can place a little windmill into to the sculpture. All windmills will start spinning. The ritual of choosing a spot for the windmill, placing it and turning it in the wind can offer comfort.
